First Blog!
Thank you for visiting my page! I hope to use this blog as a way to share my art, crafts, photography and DIY projects with you, as well as any other tidbits I find worth sharing.
I first discovered art in high school through a required art credit. I disliked it at first. Not the art, but the idea of being graded for creating things I found beautiful. Certain concepts need to be understood and mastered, I got that, but I've always been a firm believer that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and therefore you cannot say art is "good" or "bad," because it is different for everyone. Despite my mixed feelings of art class, I discovered that I do love to paint. If I see a painting I want but cannot afford, I do my best to recreate it. I also love to repurpose things. I love taking something old and making it new again, or taking something new and making it look aged. I love the idea that something that is ugly to one person can be transformed into something beautiful for another. I think I love this concept so much because it reminds me of my personal relationship with my Savior. He has taken me, a broken vessel, and patched me and made me new. I hope to create art that is pleasing to Him and that utilizes the gifts I believe He has given me. I hope you enjoy.
